5. Assessment & Screening Tools — A Note on Third-Party Data

Some course resources are screening or assessment tools intended for you to use with your own clients or athletes. Where you enter information about a client into one of these tools, that information — which may include health-related information — is submitted to Google Sheets accessible to Core Learning.

If you use these tools with your own clients, you are responsible for ensuring you have your client's consent to share their information in this way, and for only entering information that is necessary for the purpose of the tool. Health information is treated as "special personal information" under POPIA and warrants particular care — please avoid entering more detail than the tool requires.

6. Why We Process Your Information

We collect and use your personal information to:

7. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do share it with the following third-party service providers, solely to the extent necessary to operate Core Learning:

These providers may process or store information on servers located outside South Africa. Both Google and Yoco maintain their own security and data protection standards; we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies for further detail.

8. Retention of Your Information

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, and for 5 years after course completion or your last activity on the platform, whichever is later. This period reflects standard South African financial record-keeping requirements and allows us to verify certifications or resolve any disputes that may arise after you've completed a course. After this period, your information will be securely deleted or anonymised, unless we are required by law to retain it for longer.

9. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to collect anonymised or pseudonymised usage data. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some website functionality but will not prevent you from enrolling in or completing a course.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure, including relying on the security infrastructure of reputable providers (Google, Yoco) for account access and payment processing. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take your information's security seriously.
